Terms of service

These terms are between you and Amirhossein Jahanshahi, operating Smile Battle as an individual. They cover the controlled adult, friend-first research release. Entity, governing-law and insurance decisions are pending professional review. This interim version does not invent a company, registered address or forum-selection clause and does not limit non-waivable consumer rights.

You must be at least 18, legally able to agree to these terms, and use private rooms only with adults you already know. There is no parental-consent or child account path. Do not use the service if you are under 18, suspended, or prohibited by applicable law.

Starting or joining a battle sends your live camera to the invited participant. Microphone is optional and requires a separate action. Smile detection runs locally as described in the Privacy Notice. Do not record, screenshot, stream, upload or share another person's image, voice, chat or personal information without their specific permission and any consent required by law.

Smile Battle cannot guarantee another participant will obey these terms. Use leave/mute/report controls and contact alvinja8845@gmail.com if something unsafe occurs.

Give accurate eligibility confirmations, protect your credentials and invite links, and promptly report compromise. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by Smile Battle. Guest access does not remove these rules.

Do not exploit, sexualise, groom, threaten, harass, discriminate, impersonate, dox, defraud or expose another person; involve a minor; transmit illegal or sexually exploitative material; evade blocks or suspensions; interfere with the service; cheat with deceptive prerecorded/virtual media; scrape users; or use the service to violate privacy, publicity, copyright or other rights. The Community Guidelines are part of these terms.

Promoted public uploads are currently gated. If an upload control is available for approved research, upload only material you created or are authorised to use and that includes no person without the necessary permission. You retain ownership. You grant Smile Battle a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process, moderate, transcode, display and distribute that content only to operate and improve the selected feature until deletion, subject to technically necessary backups and legal holds. No licence permits model training on faces or voices without a separate opt-in agreement.

We may remove content, restrict features, suspend access or preserve scoped evidence when reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal compliance or these rules. We will normally give a reason unless doing so risks someone, an investigation or reporter confidentiality. Appeal with the case ID to alvinja8845@gmail.com. Critical child-safety matters follow a restricted incident process.

This is an experimental research release provided without a promise of uninterrupted availability, perfect smile detection, competitive accuracy, content suitability or preservation of progress. Do not rely on it for emergencies. We may stop or change the research service to address safety, legal or technical risk.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Smile Battle is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, another participant's unauthorised recording/conduct, or losses caused by misuse, external networks or unsupported devices. The appropriate liability cap and dispute terms require counsel review before commercial launch.

Material changes receive a new dated version and renewed acceptance where required. Contact alvinja8845@gmail.com for legal notices, safety reports, privacy requests or appeals. Stop using the affected feature if you do not accept a new required version.
