What is Smile Battle?

A private, two-player video game: you and a friend keep a straight face while a clip plays. Smile first, lose a point.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Hosting or joining a battle requires signing in, so every room is tied to an accountable, moderatable account.

Can strangers match with me?

No. Smile Battle is invite-only — you play with someone you invited by link or room code, never a random match.

Do I have to be 18?

Yes, every participant must be at least 18. You confirm this before hosting or joining, alongside our current Terms, Privacy, and Rules/Safety policies.

What does Smile Battle see from my camera?

Smile detection runs locally in your browser. Live video only travels, encrypted, to the friend you invited — see the Privacy notice for the full detail.

Is the microphone required?

No. Camera is required to play; microphone is a separate, optional toggle you control.

What if my friend disconnects?

The battle pauses and waits for them to reconnect. If they don't come back in time, you can claim the win or leave the room.

How do I report or block someone?

Use Report or Block from inside the battle. For anything else — appeals, privacy requests, safety concerns — email alvinja8845@gmail.com.

How do I delete my account?

See the Account deletion page for the current, interim process.
